What We Believe

We believe in one Triune God

who is all powerful and who rules over the entire universe. He is totally Good, totally Love, and totally Real.

We believe in God our Father

who created us and all things, those that we can see and those we cannot see. That He still takes care of us and all things. That, because He loved the world, He sent His son.

We believe in God the Son

who is Jesus Christ. That He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. That He suffered and died for our sins and the sins of all people. That He rose from death and returned to heaven to prepare a place for all believers and has promised to return for us. And that He sent the Holy Spirit.

We believe in God the Holy Spirit

who has called us and all Christians to faith. That He has set us and all believers apart for faithful living, the way Christ Jesus would want. That He gives us and all believers the gifts needed to build the church and calls us to be stewards over all creation and ambassadors of God’s love.

May His name, His presence, and His power forever be praised! Amen.

Along with the universal Christian church, we believe and confess the faith as expressed in the three historical ecumenical creeds - the Apostles’ Creed, the Nicene Creed, and the Athanasian Creed.

As Lutheran Christians, we value and teach Biblical truths as explained by Martin Luther, the 16th century reformer, through his catechism and other writings.

Redeemer is also part of the Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod and adheres to the practices, teachings and guidelines of the LCMS for its member congregations.
